Meet the grassroots individuals who have played a role in creating the Livit stand-up…

Caleb Wilborn:

Caleb started shaping at the age of 15 and has been making headway ever since in both surfboard design and craftsmanship. He has spent the last ten years shaping everything imaginable from experimental skate deck surf models to retro quad bat-tails. Caleb competes at a high level in tandem surfing and was ranked #3 worldwide in 2006 and #4 in 2007. He has been featured in Surfer's Path Magazine for his work with Surfer's Healing as well as Surfer Magazine's Big Issue, noted as one of the world's most intriguing surfer/shapers. With great attention to detail, Caleb brings artistic ability to shape a one-of-a-kind board.

Dan Gavere:

Dan brings true outdoor experience to Livit. Born in El Torrejon, Spain, Dan Gavere experienced al fresco, (the outdoors), at an early age. He soon took to all types of activities including mountain biking, kite surfing, stand-up surfing, kayaking, snowboarding, and all around paddling. Having traveled the world as a professional freestyle kayaker, (10+ years), Dan provides Livit considerable knowledge around design and style for our flat-water cruiser and surf models.

Chris Schmid:

Growing up in Oceanside, California, Chris decided his love for surfing would take him to Hawai’i the day he finished high school. He spent the next seven years on the south shore of Oahu surfing and exploring board design and performance. After this break from the mainland, Chris returned to Oceanside to pursue a passion in shaping hand-crafted surfboards. He has now spent the last eight years shaping many different types of boards ranging from stand-ups to high-performance short boards. Chris brings to Livit clean, modern lines, maintaining a classic feel.
